Maui no ka oi - the best
Maui is located right in the middle of the inhabited part of the Hawaiian island chain, with five nearby islands that can be seen from the island of Maui.
Maui is the second-largest island in the Hawaiian archipelago. Maui is also Hawaii's second most-visited island in the state, welcoming about 2-1/2 million people each year. It has been named "best island in the world" in the annual Conde Nast Traveler readers' poll Maui is "no ka oi," Maui is the best.
Maui has three mountain peaks more than one mile high. Maui has remote valleys and rainforests and has plants and indigenous creatures not seen anywhere else in the world. The lava fields resemble moonscapes.
Maui county is made up of three island i.e. islands of Maui, Molokai and Lanai.
