MAUI BUS PASSES
County offering $2 daily pass on some Maui Bus routes
December 7, 2010
WAILUKU - The county Department of Transportation will begin offering a new $2 daily pass for all Maui Bus fixed routes and disabled-access service beginning Jan. 1.
The daily pass was created at the request of Mayor Charmaine Tavares, who was asked by a senior citizen to consider a cost-effective option for people who ride the bus only a few days each month.
Passes may be purchased from Maui Bus drivers only. The daily pass cannot be used on commuter routes.
The pass will be valid only on the day it is purchased and will allow unlimited travel. Lost, stolen, destroyed or misplaced passes will not be replaced or refunded.
Maui Bus is a service provided by Maui County and operated by Roberts Hawaii.
For more information, contact Roberts Hawaii at 871-4838 or the Department of Transportation at 270-7511. General bus schedule information can be found on county buses and online at mauicounty.gov/bus.
