In Hawaii , the county recorder is located in Honolulu (Ohau) which means documents to be recorded are flown over at least 2 days before the actual recording.
Hawaii is a Non Community Property state which allows married individuals to buy property without the consent of the spouse. In community property states, a spouse’s rights would be reserved or consent from the spouse would be required, which is not the case in Hawaii . Attorneys are the required for the preparation of all recordable documents here in Hawaii .
